Simon, Kent and Ed have been involved with custom Trikes collectively for 40 years designing, building and riding them. Their enthusiasm for creating a stylish machine that is fun, easy and safe for everyone to ride is always at the forefront of their design and expected proformance. The V8 Super Trike concept has been around for a long time, in the 1970's many home built V8 trikes were created by enthusiasts however most of them lacked style or that cool factor ,Longhorn Trikes under the guidance from the team and Simon our production engineer, changed all that. Longhorn Trikes sleek looking machine is low, comfortable and handles very well with plenty of power for the everyday thrill seeker. Longhorn Trikes build with conventional 5.7 liter injected V8's and also with the LS3's up to 525 hp. Built here in New Zealand and exported all over the world under the strict vehicle safety regulations from the New Zealand government you can be assured that your Longhorn Trike will meet every safety expectation you may have when you ride our machines.
PROJECTS
Over the last two years Longhorn Trikes have developed a new frame to incorporate the LS series engines. The LS have been around since 1997 when Chevrolet introduced the 5.7 liter LS1. Longhorn Trikes has incorporated the very versatile 6.2 liter LS3 as our main stay drive train matted with the 4L70e transmission,fly by wire technology, all new reverse camera dash etc, this excellent package will ensure great reliable proformance , smooth acceleration with plenty of horse power on the open highway or just around the city, our trikes are always accompanied with Willwood disc brakes to ensure great stopping in any weather all while you are seated in our Longhorn designed bucket seats with an adjustable slide for that extra comfort and proper fitment for all size riders
